Raluca Anghel is leaving the recently rebranded The Diamond Collective, formerly known as the Natural Diamond Council, after seven years with the organisation.
Anghel, who serves as head of external affairs and industry relations, announced the departure on LinkedIn. She has not disclosed her next role.
During her tenure, Anghel led the ASSURE Program, which assesses diamond-verification instruments, and launched a series of reports intended to provide the media and jewellery industry with evidence-based information about diamonds.
Her work also encompassed sustainability positioning, the organisation’s first members’ impact report and advocacy concerning diamond terminology, advertising claims and consumer information across the US, India and Europe. Anghel represented the organisation within the World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO), Responsible Jewellery Council and European Federation of Jewellery, working on standards and policy affecting the wider jewellery sector.
