From Cartier's Juste un Clou bracelet to her signature Rolex Air King, Princess Beatrice is an underrated jewellery star who deserves all the praise. Here, we take a closer look at her collection
By Joshua Hendren
Princess Beatrice has always been underrated as a royal, particularly when it comes to her choice of jewellery. While she may not opt for the most flashy nor diamond-heavy pieces, the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew has a certain understated appeal to her jewellery box, which makes her a consistent rule breaker in the headline-making world of royal jewellery.
Here, we explore Princess Beatrice’s overlooked array of jewels and watches that showcase her carefully considered style at its very best.
Zara Collar
Back in 2013, Princess Beatrice spent a night on the dance floor at the Adventure in Wonderland Ball, held in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, in this gem-encrusted collar from high street favourite Zara.
Rolex Air King
All eyes on were on Princess Beatrice as she attended the Freedom For All Gala at the Top of The Standard in New York in 2016. Proposing full monochrome in this timeless skirt suit, the royal added a touch of sparkle with her Rolex Air King, crafted in stainless steel with striking orange numerals.
The Princess is often seen sporting this silvery timepiece at high-profile events, including the Chelsea Flower Show press day as pictured here in 2016.
Diamanté Headpiece
Making her Met Gala debut back in 2018 in this vivid purple Alberta Ferretti gown complete with billowing sleeves and a high neckline, Princess Beatrice looked appropriately regal as posed for the cameras in this glittering diamanté headpiece.
Bee Brooch
For the 2018 wedding of her sister Princess Eugenie of York to Jack Brooksbank, Princess Beatrice embellished her all-purple ensemble with this delicate bee-shaped brooch, a nod to the coat of arms that belongs to her mother Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, that depicts a bee perched atop a bundle of thistles.
Cartier Juste un Clou Bracelet
Accompanied by her now husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Princess Beatrice wore diamond drop earrings and a Juste un Clou bracelet from Cartier to the wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor and Thomas Kingston in 2019.
Diamond Chandelier Earrings
Spotted at St. Paul’s Cathedral as she attended the National Service of Thanksgiving to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Beatrice dazzled in a blue-on-blue look that perfectly complemented the luxurious brilliance of her diamond chandelier earrings.
Chopard Diamond Earrings
Shimmering in a floor-length sequin gown at this year’s inaugural summer party and fundraiser held for the National Gallery’s bicentenary campaign, Princess Beatrice swept her hair back to reveal diamond earrings by Swiss jeweller Chopard.
Shaun Leane Wedding Band
Sparkling on her ring finger is the Princess’ diamond and platinum wedding band designed by jewellery royalty Shaun Leane. The bespoke piece, set with diamonds of the highest colour and clarity, was crafted to fit perfectly to the shape of her engagement ring.
