Chaumet Torsade collection explained

Jewels twist and turn like you've never seen as they spiral into place among this dazzling new Chaumet pieces

The Hotel Particulier at 12 Place Vendome is an address synonymous with Chaumet. And one year after its renovation, the jewellery maison has paid tribute to this prestigious postcode with a special High Jewellery collection, Torsade de Chaumet.

In French, “torsade” translates as “twist”, and it’s this you’ll notice as a spectacular motif used throughout, jewels as though roller coaster twisters as they spiral into place, sapphires, rubies and emeralds buckled in for the ride. The collection is an ode to movement and life with the stones the central focus highlighted by exuberant shapes and coils that entwine themselves as rings, tiaras, necklaces and bracelets.

Gems were selected for their “aura” to accompany each design: a seemingly gravity-defying tiara; asymmetric necklaces and bracelets; an energetic ring; torque creations. Among the stones include cushion-cut ceylon sapphires, Mozambique rubies and Colombian emeralds.
