Italian model Alessandra Ambrosio wore one of Milanese jeweller Pomellato’s high jewellery designs as she appeared at the 76th Cannes Film Festival opening.

Ambrosio opted for one-off pieces from the maison’s new high jewellery collection, all hand-designed by the atelier’s craftsmen at their workshop in Milan.

On a night of double celebration for Milan, as the cities two football teams AC and Inter competed in the UCL semi-final, Alessandra Ambrosio dazzled in a necklace and earrings from the Skyline collection.

The Skyline is an homage to Milan’s new groundbreaking architectural landscape, and the so-called CityLife. CityLife is a stunning new city built on previous wasteland near Milan’s railway station – a collection of skyscrapers that jut just above the famous skyline comprised of the Duomo and Fortezza.

The asymmetric Skyline necklace is handset with an impressive selection of 128 rare, bezel-cut spinels that fade from warm scarlet to azure blue, mirroring the sunset silhouettes of the Milanese sky. Complete with pavé diamonds, the perfectly articulated necklace is joined by matching earrings set with 12 spinels.
