Alighieri debuts new bridal jewellery line

Rosh Mantani of Alighieri has launched a new bridal line and it's just as gorgeous as you'd imagine

Weddings have changed. Following their downsizing or cancellation altogether because of the pandemic, now that they can be back, what we’re wearing for them is different. Cue Rosh Mahtani of Alighieri’s new bridal line, a capsule of rentable wedding dresses, which are knitted from pearls, and veils woven from gold-filled chains. Unique and swoon-worthy.

The designer thought the time felt right given the months of restrictions that friends and family have had to endure. And brings with her, her go-to inspiration once more: Dante’s Divine Comedy, for pieces that are one of a kind.

The renting element, she said, also felt right. As a designer who is always inspired by stories, she liked the idea that each piece would pick up a new story each time it was worn. And she worked with her head of atelier to create a couture feel that could also function.
