Awards season is in full swing again and with it came a number of fabulous sparkles at last night’s Brit awards, which kicked off with a starry ceremony at the O2.

One of the earliest to hit the red carpet was award-presenter Maya Jama, who teamed her dramatic two-piece monochrome outfit with a pair of white diamond earrings by the Italian jeweller, Bulgari. Jama’s outfit, she claimed, was inspired by Cher’s infamous ‘Mohawk’ dress that the singer wore to the 1986 Oscars.

Adele, who donned three amazing outfits for the ceremony, started off in a spectacular floor-length custom Giorgio Armani Privé gown, and sparkling diamond earrings by one of Hollywood’s favourite jewellers, Lorraine Schwartz. She was also sporting a solitaire diamond on her ring finger, a rumoured engagement ring from her boyfriend the sports agent Rich Paul.

Joy Crookes, a ‘best new artist’ and ‘best pop/R&B artist’ nominee teamed her spectacular golden ensemble with diamond, mother of pearl and yellow gold earrings by Venyx. Meanwhile, the singer-songwriter Griff opted for a galaxy of De Beers diamonds to complete her look, including the ‘Arpeggia’ necklace with 6.55 carats of diamonds and six different diamond rings. AJ Odudu also went for diamonds to accessories her multi-coloured mini dress by Tran Hung – she chose Pomellato’s responsibly-sourced rose gold and white, brown and black diamonds ‘Sabbia’ necklace, cuff, rings and earrings.

With the Academy Awards hot on the heels of the BRITS, we’re looking forward to seeing which gem-studded jewels will appear next.
