Best jewels at the 2023 MTV VMAs
Outrageous outfits and great jewels were spotted at the MTV VMAs last night. From Taylor Swift's gold necklaces and Bebe Rexha's vintage earrings to Justin Timberlake's Tiffany & Co. starfish pin, we count down our favourites

As always, there were some very ‘out there’ outfits on display at the 2023 MTV VMAs in New York last night. But there were also plenty of dazzling diamond jewels to be seen on the bright pink carpet, too. Here, we count down our favourites…
Taylor Swift
Tay Tay turned up in a glittering array of layered jewels, including a vintage onyx, gold and diamond Van Cleef & Arpels cocktail ring (which apparently lost its central diamond during the awards ceremony), a diamond eternity necklace by Anita Ko, vintage gold and diamond necklaces from Joseph Saidian & Sons and Maria Tash hoop earrings.
Megan Thee Stallion
Megan Thee Stallion paired her custom black dress by Brandon Blackwood with a galaxy of white diamonds from Jacob & Co – a diamond ‘Waterfall’ choker and matching cuff, plus rings and diamond stud earrings.
Selena Gomez
Gomez accessorised her scarlet Oscar de la Renta gown with a suite of floral-motif diamond jewels by Italian jewellers, Pasquale Bruni.
Justin Timberlake
Timberlake may have gone for a more understated look than most, but it was all the better for letting his sparkling Tiffany & Co jewels stand out. The singer adorned himself in the New York jeweller’s HardWear graduated link necklace and Lock bangle, both in white gold and diamonds, plus a stainless steel Atlas 37.5mm watch and a Sterling Silver Elsa Peretti Starfish pin.
Tiffany Haddish
Haddish looked to Parisian-based jewellers REZA for her suite of shimmering diamond pieces, including the maison’s bestselling Ruban ring design.
Bebe Rexha
Singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha attended the VMAs in a Madonna-like leather bustier dress, accessorised with vintage jewels from Joseph Saidian & Sons. She chose a pair of emerald and diamond fringed chandelier earrings, plus a pair of Art Deco diamond bracelets.
Doja Cat
Perhaps Doja Cat was influenced by the ceremony’s proximity to Halloween next month, and accessorised her cobwebbed dress with a diamond snake cuff from Nicole Rose and diamond spider earrings by Yeprem.
Demi Lovato
Lovato paired her fairly sombre, all-black ensemble with a pair of pyramid earrings by Ofira.
