Wimbledon is here. Time for a tennis bracelet.

Wimbledon 2023 is here and with it comes the annual yearning for a tennis bracelet. Originally set with white diamonds, this collection of chic forever pieces - from makers including Cartier, Tiffany & Co and DeBeers - will make a luxurious addition to any jewellery box

As sport fans around the world rejoice in the annual spotlight on Wimbledon, jewellery lovers, too, are stacking their wrists with diamonds as the annual quest for the perfect tennis bracelet comes around again.

Originally called a ‘line’ bracelet, owing to its design which incorporates a delicate row of diamonds, the tennis bracelet came into being around the 1920s. Then, the gleaming diamond-set platinum bracelets were the jewel of choice for society hostesses. But their popularity really soared during the 1970s, when tennis pro Chris Evert was regularly photographed wearing them to matches, forever linking them to the sport (she famously once stopped play during the US Open in 1978 to retrieve her signature bracelet, which had snapped and fallen off her wrist).

Tennis bracelets are perfect for Wimbledon
Originally set with a line of white diamonds, today’s tennis bracelets can be set with all manner of colourful gemstones. Ideal for sunny summer events like Wimbledon.

A truly unisex piece today, tennis bracelets are enjoying a stylistic revival thanks to the likes of Kate Moss, Meghan Markle, Lenny Kravitz, Pete Davidson and Michael B Jordan – who even wore a Tiffany & Co. incarnation to the Academy Awards this year.

Fancy trying the style for yourself? We’ve found the chicest tennis bracelets available right now, so you can pick your perfect match.
