Bulgari renews BAFTA partnership for next three years

Bulgari has renewed its unique partnership with BAFTA for the next three years. To mark this special occasion, the Roman jeweller will host an exhibition of heritage high jewellery pieces at their New Bond Street Temple boutique

Bulgari, the Roman jeweller has long enjoyed a relationship with film and cinema. Following a successful collaboration in 2022, Bulgari has renewed its partnership with the global arts charity BAFTA over the next three years.

The jeweller was founded in Rome in 1884 as a jewellery shop when the Greek silversmith Sotirio Bulgari moved to the city from his native Greece. The house quickly gained a reputation as purveyors of coloured gems, a reputation they continue to enjoy today. In recent years the company has diversified. In addition to jewellery they are luxury watchmakers, perfumers and purveyors of a multitude of luxury goods.

Their love affair with film has spanned the generations. Jewellery from the house featured prominently in the movie House of Gucci, starring Lady Gaga. And over the years Bulgari jewellery has also made an appearance in more than forty different movies. Additionally Bulgari has associated themselves with a vast array of movie stars from the golden age of cinema to contemporary stars. These include screen sirens Ingrid Bergman, Elizabeth Taylor and Gina Lollobrigida through to modern icons Priyanka Chopra and Zendaya.

As part of this landmark collaboration, Bulgari has been named the Official Jewellery and Watch Partner to the EE BAFTA Film Awards, taking place on 19 February.

What’s more, Bulgari is set to become Supporting Partner to the Official Nominees’ Party for the EE BAFTA Film Awards, an annual celebration exclusively for nominees that will take place the night before the Awards on 18 February at the National Gallery. Bulgari will also become the Official Supporting Partner to the BAFTA Gala in 2024.

“We are incredibly proud to continue partnering with BAFTA for the next three years. It truly is an honour to support this industry in collaboration with such an important arts charity that shares our same fundamental values of excellence,” said Jean-Christophe Babin, Bulgari Group CEO.

“Bulgari’s rich history has been linked to cinema, and its brightest stars, in countless occasions and this partnership is a celebration of that important heritage. We look forward to seeing our creations shine on today’s creatives as they shined on Elizabeth Taylor, during her attendance at the BAFTA Film Awards in 1967.”

To mark this special occasion and celebrate the brand’s close ties with the world of cinema, Bulgari will host an exhibition of one of a kind heritage high jewellery pieces at their New Bond Street Temple boutique.

The selection of spectacular high jewellery includes pieces once owned by Elizabeth Taylor and Gina Lollobrigida dating back to the 1960s. This exclusive collection will be on display from 6 to the 26 February.
