Dior unveils the La D de Dior Black Ultramatte watch

First unveiled in 2003 by Victoire de Castellane, artistic director of Dior Joaillerie, Dior's La D de Dior timepiece has been reimagined in an intense full-black colourway

Monsieur Dior best described the timeless appeal of black in his 1954 book The Little Dictionary of Fashion, where he described the minimalist’s favourite colour to be appropriate for any time, age and event. “I could write a whole book on black,” said the couturier.

Fast forward to today, and the French House has reimagined one of its most recognisable timepieces in an intense full-black colourway.

Fine jewellery and Swiss watchmaking excellence collide in this updated Black Ultramatte style in dazzling combinations of materials and gem-setting.

Taking the monochromatic approach to the next level, the 34mm model is envisioned in black DLC-coated steel and features a dial embellished with three brilliant-cut black diamond hour markers and polished Dauphine hands.

Presented on a delicate Milanese strap in black mesh steel, the model is also available with a gem-encrusted bezel that sparkles with 52 brilliant-cut diamonds, giving new depth and glamour to the style.

Available now, the La D de Dior Black Ultramatte timepiece is available to purchase in-store at Dior boutiques in Singapore.
