No one does it like Aubrey. The Canadian rapper's latest piece of iced-out jewellery pays tribute to his 42 exes with 351.38 carats of diamonds
By Joshua Hendren
Drake knows how to serve an iced-out jewellery moment better than anyone.
Taking to the stage at the Lil Baby & Friends Birthday Celebration Concert at State Farm Arena in Atlanta this week, the 36-year-old Canadian rapper debuted a brand-new diamond necklace, meticulously crafted by jeweller Alex Moss, that paid homage to all the women he’s loved before.
The piece, boasting an estimated worth of £10 million, features round, emerald, princess and pear-cut diamonds Drake has previously bought for the 42 times he thought about proposing to a woman (think Rihanna, Julia Fox, Sophie Brussaux) totalling a whopping 351.38 carats.
“New piece titled ‘Previous Engagements’ for all the times he thought about it but never did it,” Moss wrote over a video showcasing the ethereal necklace. He continued via an Instagram Reel, noting it was “an expedition spanning 14 months, every diamond hand selected, inspected to only suit perfection.” And we’re here for it.
