The Swiss watchmaker Hublot has collaborated with Chinese artist Wen Na on a festive new Spirit of Big Bang timepiece to mark the arrival of the Lunar New Year

In 2023, January 22 marks the beginning of the Lunar New Year, kicking off 16 days of fireworks and festivities in a sea of red and gold.
We’d argue that the best way to usher in the celebrations is with Hublot’s new special-edition Spirit of Big Bang, born out of a collaboration with Chinese artist Wen Na.
Paying homage to the Year of the Rabbit, one of the 12 signs of the Chinese Zodiac, Wen Na has created a miniature painting for the dial of the Swiss watchmaker’s new Spirit of Big Bang Black Ceramic Rabbit.
Drawing inspiration from Chinese folklore and mythology, the artist has created a Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches system in 12 double hours, combining these visuals with festive motifs from firecrackers to dancing lions.
Naturally, such a miracle of horology has more to offer. The timepiece also boasts an intricate HUB1710 self-winding movement, housed in an oh-so-chic micro-blasted 42mm ceramic case, and is limited to just 12 pieces.
Connoisseurs seeking the ultimate expression of contemporary horology, look no further.
