As Ronaldo dominates at the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, we dip into the footballer's £2.5 million jewellery box and examine his most dazzling pieces, from a £1.2 million Franck Muller timepiece to a wardrobe of diamond studs
By Joshua Hendren
Since kickstarting his professional career with Sporting CP at age 17 in 2002 and signing for Manchester United just a year later, Cristiano Ronaldo has garnered fame and glory like no other. He’s Portugal’s best-known player and one of the most prolific in the modern era, so it’s little surprise that Ronaldo commands one of the world’s highest salaries within the footballing realm (a reported £26.8 million) and with it, a stonking great budget to spend on jewels.
Ronaldo’s jewellery box is a well-curated mixture of sentimental gems and flashy, high-drama watches, ranging from his signature single hoop, complete with a dangling cross, to the most lavish of wrist candy, including a £1.2 million Franck Muller 7008 T INV C INV, coated in a mind-boggling amount of baguette diamonds, and the new Jacob & Co. Epic X Heart of CR7, co-designed by the sporting superstar himself.
So, as Ronaldo snatches the spotlight at this year’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar, we take a look at his most glittering watch and jewellery moments, on and off the pitch.
