Known for her chart-topping hits and sold-out Eras tour, superstar Taylor Swift constantly serves jaw-dropping red carpet and music video jewellery looks. From studded serpent rings to Lorraine Schwartz and Le Vian, we take a look at some of Swift’s greatest bejewelled moments.

Serpent Jewellery

The star’s ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ music video is a treasure trove of sparkling pieces ranging from $65 to six figures. One of Swift’s most jewellery-studded videos, a selection of serpent jewellery was chosen for the video’s snake scene.

Swift wears several sparkling snake rings on her hands, seemingly showcasing her power over the snakes which slither around her throne. On her right hand, Swift wears three different snake rings, all from different brands. On her ring finger sits a double-finger Lydia Courteille ruby ring. While on her middle finger she wears a diamond and rose gold serpent ring by Borgioni, and on her thumb sits a diamond snake ring from Gilan. She also wears a rose gold serpent ring by Le Vian, studded with black and white diamonds and a purple-coloured Bubble Gum pink sapphire.

In addition to the snake rings circling Swift’s fingers, she also wears a large Bulgari Serpenti necklace around her neck. The yellow and white gold necklace is set with over 10-carats of marquise and brilliant-cut diamonds and 71-round and pear-shape rubies. The snake motif continues throughout the video, and the star is also seen wearing a Lydia Courteille gold and diamond snake bracelet in her hair and ebony and diamond snake hoops from Borgioni.

Besides the array of serpent jewellery, Swift’s ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ video also features an iconic bathtub scene, in which Swift bathes in Neil Lane diamond pieces. A mixture of new and what appears to be vintage pieces from Neil Lane’s exclusive vault, the scene exudes luxury and power. Immersed in diamond necklaces, bracelets and more, Swift’s bathtub scene created some controversies as some speculated it alluded to Kim Kardashian’s Paris robbery in 2016, where she was tied up in a bathtub while some of her jewels worth millions were stolen.

Lorraine Schwartz at the 2016 Grammy Awards

For the 2016 Grammy Awards, which witnessed some great fashion moments, the singer appeared in a two-piece ensemble featuring a coral top and a floor-length pink skirt from Atelier Versace. The colour-blocking look was complete with a selection of Lorraine Schwartz jewellery, including pink sapphire earrings, a multicoloured sapphire chocker and a large orange sapphire cocktail ring, totalling $900,000.

Lorraine Schwarz at the 2023 Grammy Awards

The American high jewellery designer has continued to be one of Swift’s favourites. The star chose a pair of jaw dropping sapphire and diamond Lorraine Schwartz earrings for the most recent Grammy Awards in 2023. Ethereal like a starry night, the earrings accentuated the shimmering blue two-piece Roberto Cavalli ensemble. Each kite-shaped earring features four white gold squares set with diamonds, natural paraíba tourmalines and purple sapphires, weighing an impressive 136 carats in total.

The sparkling midnight-blue look was the perfect acceptance look as the star made history when winning Best Music Video for ‘All Too Well: The Short Film’ by being the first artist to win in the category with sole directing credit for their own video.

Swift’s earrings, said to be valued close to $3 million, were up for auction at Pharrell Williams’ digital-only Joopiter auction house as part of their first high jewellery sale.

Another colourful red carpet look, Swift opted for a mermaid vibe for the 2015 Grammy Awards with a stunning floor-length gown by Elie Saab in a shimmering ombre palette. She matched the gorgeous blue-green dress with opal paraíba earrings, as well as three matching diamond pave and opal paraíba rings, all by Lorraine Schwartz. Combined, the pieces have an estimated value of $1 million.

87’ Bracelet

It’s not all about monetary value. Showing up to cheer on her now-confirmed boyfriend Travis Kelce, Swift was spotted wearing a custom beaded friendship bracelet. The bracelet features the Chiefs player’s jersey number, 87, in between two hearts on a string of golden beads.

Retailing for just $21 from the brand Erimish, Swift’s bracelet, according to the brand’s Instagram, was seemingly gifted to Swift by Patrick Mahomes’ mom, Randi. She paired the thoughtful bracelet with a vintage Chiefs sweatshirt, a black pleated tennis skirt and platform loaders as she cheered Kelce on from the VIP box at Arrowhead Stadium.

The singer further accessorised with a Cartier Juste Un Clou necklace worth $13,400, and other meaningful jewellery including a FoundRae belcher bracelet with their enamel miniature medallion, which, according to the brand, celebrates the seven classic types of love. Swift was also seen wearing a Jacquie Aiche evil eye bracelet ($5,250), a symbol thought to protect the wearer from ill intent, and a diamond bar bracelet ($4,250) from the same jeweller.

Le Vian

Another celeb favourite, it’s no surprise Swift has opted for Le Vian’s range of colourful gemstone jewellery on numerous occasions. Indeed, the star is a master at colour matching her red carpet looks with her jewellery. For her 2019 Good Morning America performance, Swift opted for an array of colourful gemstones to match her pink and purple sparkly look, including Le Vian’s raspberry rhodolite and blueberry sapphire stud earrings and their strawberry ombre 14K gold ring.

That same year, Swift opted for a Barbie-worthy ring from Le Vian for the ‘You Need to Calm Down’ video. The Le Vian heart-shaped ruby, pink sapphire and diamond ring is worth nearly $20k.

For the 2014 IHeartRadio Music Festival at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Swift paired a classic two-piece look with a sparkling cross-over band from Le Vian. The white gold ring features Le Vian’s blackberry and vanilla diamonds, and the black adds an edge to the otherwise sweet look. A fan of black and white diamonds, Swift also opted for a Le Vian accessory at the 2014 Billboard Women In Music Luncheon at Cipriani Wall Street, where she paired Le Vian Vanilla and Blackberry diamond earrings with a black and white ensemble.

Heart Motifs

With numerous chart-topping hits about love and heartbreak, it comes as no surprise that heart motifs are common in Swift’s music videos, particularly in her jewellery choices. In the singer’s ‘You Need to Calm Down’ video, she wears at least seven different heart shaped jewels, from a chunky Le Vian ring worth almost $20,000 to Anabela Chan heart-shaped hoop earrings made exclusively for the singer.

She also wears a toi et moi ring set with a purple and pink heart by Narcisa Pheres, a $5,720 yellow gold and diamond heart signet ring from Sydney Evan and an Irene Neuwirth rose gold opal heart ring.

A Jen Meyer large open heart ring also graces her finger, with diamonds set in yellow gold. Lastly, in a colourful scene which sees Swift with purple-blue ombre hair and purple lipstick, she wears Sydney Evan – a $9,140 yellow gold Rainbow Heart Eternity bracelet featuring pavé set rubies, emeralds and multi-colour sapphires.
