Jordana Brewster and Meadow Walker both opted for Bulgari jewels at the launch party of Fast X in Rome. The two actors chose pieces from the Serpenti collection which celebrates its 75th anniversary this year

It was 1948, when Bulgari’s iconic Serpenti motif slithered its way into the hearts of jewellery lovers.
Last week in Rome, it caught the eye of two high-profile actors for the launch of Fast and Furious 10, or Fast X, as it is officially known. For the film’s hotly-anticipated launch event, stars Jordana Brewster and Meadow Walker both chose iconic pieces from the snake-themed collection.
Jordana Brewster opted for a Serpenti necklace, pictured below, together with a matching ring and earrings. Meanwhile, Meadow Walker chose a diamond parer from three different collections, including a Serpenti necklace in white gold set with 5.26 carats of diamonds.
The first-ever Serpenti design was a bracelet-watch in gold with a square head for the dial and a body that wraps around the wrist using the Turbogas technique, a system of flexible coils in a triangular shape, that was fashionable at the time.
In the 1960s, Elizabeth Taylor popularised the Serpenti when she bought pieces in Rome when playing Cleopatra which was being filmed there. It was apt of course that Taylor was playing the Egyptian Queen, who was killed by a serpent’s bite.
More recently, Serpenti designs have been rocked by A-lister Zendaya who famously wore a Serpenti piece to the 2021 Venice Film festival. Additionally, it’s been worn by brand ambassador Anne Hathaway, who wore Serpenti pieces in the Roman maison’s 2022 high jewellery campaign.
