At the Paris ateliers of Dior, a high jewellery bracelet designed by Kim Jones and Victoire de Castellane takes shape. We go behind the scenes to see the making of the bracelet
A Kim Jones bracelet, designed in conjunction with Victoire de Castellane as a rare high jewellery creation, added a sparkling finishing touch to the Dior Winter 2022 presentation.
A high jewellery bracelet adds a sparkling touch to Dior’s latest menswear offering. Unveiled in Paris, where maison Dior first opened on avenue Montaigne in 1947, and on Christian Dior’s birthday, with his Winter 2022 collection Kim Jones paid tribute to the famous couturier. And as Jones billed his collection as an imagined collaboration with Christian Dior himself, the show also featured team-ups with brands – cue sparkling Birkenstocks – and Victoire de Castellane, the creative director of Dior Joaillerie.
In a follow-up to the treasure-box-like necklace Jones and de Castellane first joined forces for and which made its debut in London, their latest collaboration takes the shape of a high jewellery bracelet. A nod to the Art Deco, the bracelet’s white gold links are geometric in shape and set with white diamonds. At the front, stylised capital letters CD stand for Christian Dior and are bordered by a duo of bright green emeralds. Designed by de Castellane and Jones, the gem was realised by Dior’s master jewellery artisans working in Paris.
