The Duke and Duchess of Sussex discuss their first dance in a new of episode of their Netflix series Harry & Meghan, premiering 15 December. The series, which debuted last week and will continue with episodes 4-6 on Thursday, shows Meghan wearing a special Cartier watch that once belonged to her mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

The elegant Tank Française timepiece, thought to be gifted to Meghan by Harry, was sported by the late Princess of Wales at multiple events, including a 1997 visit to London’s Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Hindu Temple and an engagement at the British Lung Foundation that same year.

The watch, priced at £17,800 at the time but now likely worth a lot more given its history, has been worn by Meghan frequently, stacked with a matching gold Cartier Love bracelet.

This certainly isn’t the first time Meghan has worn her late mother-in-law’s jewellery. Throughout the years, the Duchess has glistened in Diana’s butterfly earrings, gold bracelet and most, recently, her aquamarine cocktail ring by Asprey at the Ripple of Hope Award Gala 2022.
