Our round up the best Mother's Day gifts for 2022. From chic heart pendants and pearl hoops, to must-have bangles and rings, we present the best jewellery options to spoil the women who raised us

With Mother’s Day right around the corner, it’s definitely time to think about the best Mother’s Day jewellery gifts to spoil the amazing woman who raised you.
And while flowers and chocolates are all very well, we’ll be seeing a lot of them come Easter. Why not think about something that lasts longer and has a bit more meaning?
Not sure where to start? Pearls, as Jaqueline Kennedy once said, are always appropriate. These organic gems are the only jewels created by a living organism and have traditionally been linked to symbols of birth, life and renewal, so they’re a fitting gift for any Mother’s Day. The best modern pearl designers mix the traditional with the avant-garde to create wearable pieces that look great every day. Delicate diamonds, too, are a welcome addition to anyone’s jewellery box as the timeless gem can be dressed up with a gown or down with a T-shirt and denim.
Heart motifs been jewellery staples since the Victorian era and with good reason – these sentimental symbols are a classic way to show love and affection in jewelled form. Queen Victoria herself wore a charm bracelet embellished with nine colourful enamelled hearts, representing each of her nine children. The motifs were also lockets, another traditionally emotive jewel, and inscribed with the name and date of birth of every child. If you’re looking to personalise your mother’s gift this year, an engraved message or secret image is an ideal way to elevate a present from ‘special’ to ‘sublime’.
A gift that gives back is even better – jeweller Harwell Godfrey has launched a pink opal talisman and is donating 100% of profits to Every Mother Counts, a charity dedicated to making pregnancy and childbirth safer for every mother.
“I went into heart failure after complications from childbirth and know firsthand and how important it is for expecting and birthing mothers to have access to quality care,” explains designer Lauren Harwell Godfrey. Of her decision to partner with the non-profit organisation she says, “I am incredibly honored to be supporting the important work of Every Mother Counts, a cause I believe deeply in.”
After two years of not being able to celebrate special events with our loved ones, a precious jewel that lasts a lifetime might just be the perfect way to express how you feel. Here, we’ve rounded up our edit of the best Mother’s Day gifts to surprise and delight this coming Mothering Sunday.
