Swiss watchmaker Omega has debuted two new versions of its Seamaster Diver timepiece to mark the 60th anniversary of the James Bond film franchise

Calling all 007 fans! To celebrate 60 years of James Bond, Omega has unveiled two new timepieces that pay homage to the British super spy and the Swiss watchmaker’s long-standing partnership with the film franchise.
Two dazzling iterations of the Seamaster Diver have been revealed, one in stainless steel, the other in Omega’s iconic 18K Canopus Gold.
The steel version is inspired by Bond’s Seamaster watch in the 1995 film GoldenEye, and is highlighted by its notably cinematic case back, which recreates the famous 007 opening gun barrel sequence with a moiré effect animation, framed underneath sapphire glass and adorned with micro-structured metallisation. What’s more, as the animation is cleverly linked to the running of the lollipop central seconds hand, the hypnotic movement never stops.
As for the model carved in Canopus Gold (which also features the same showstopping case back), it wears like a dream on the wrist.
In homage to the idyllic Jamaican hideaway where Ian Fleming wrote all fourteen 007 novels, the dial has been made from natural grey silicon, a nod to the location’s exceptional, sloping sands.
Further tributes to Jamaica continue on the bezel, which comes studded with a green and yellow pavé diamonds in 10 different tones, replicating the flag of the Caribbean island.
Driven by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8807, owners of this spectacular wristwear are granted further delights with their purchase, as each watch comes housed in its own mango tree box, with mother-of-pearl marquetry and a timeless 60 Years of Bond logo.
