Repossi has debuted a new, limited-edition N°2 earring in black gold and paved with diamonds during Paris fashion week.
By Joshua Hendren
You can always rely on Gaia Repossi, the creative mastermind behind Italian jeweller Repossi, to subvert haute joaillerie codes in the most fabulously unexpected ways.
Case in point – a new architectural black gold earring that hugs the earlobe in flashes of diamond.
Limited to just 15 pieces, the N°2 earring is the most recent addition to Repossi’s Limited Editions concept, where twice a year, in March and September, the house unveils a rare design for the most passionate collectors among us, produced in tiny quantities.
Finding inspiration in ancient ethnic jewellery, the N°2 piece has been hand-made using a lost wax casting technique to create an open-worked back that allows light to pass through the 1.6 carats of diamonds, resulting in even more sparkle.
