Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho has been announced as the Swiss watchmaker's newest ambassador
By Joshua Hendren
Football fans are in for quite the treat as Rebellion Timepieces unveils Brazilian sporting icon Ronaldinho as their latest ambassador.
Founded in 2007 on the banks of Lake Geneva by Alexandre Pesci, an entrepreneur fascinated by timepieces, technology and motorsport, the independent Swiss watchmaker has since risen to the upper echelons of horology for its structural ingenuity and top-level craftsmanship.
An overachiever in his own field, Ronaldinho is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, with two FIFA World Player of the Year awards and a Ballon d’Or under his belt.
“I follow Rebellion Timepieces and their spectacular watches always fascinate me,” says the footballer. “I am very happy that together we can create the watch of my dreams and with my personality. Being creative and unique is something that unites us.”
Calim Bouhadra, CEO of Rebellion Timepieces added: “It is an honour and a great pride for Rebellion Timepieces to be able to count Ronaldinho among our ambassadors. He shares similar values with us and lives his life uncompromisingly like a true rebel. I am sure we will accomplish great things together and we are looking forward to starting this collaboration with a new watch in his colours soon.”
