In honour of international dog day, British jeweller Roxanne First is releasing a collection of sterling silver dog necklaces so you can accessorise your pooch in style

In honour of International Dog Day on 26th August, British jeweller Roxanne First is launching a collection of sterling silver dog necklaces, named ‘Dog by RF’, to cater for pampered pets.
The owners of 100% good bois and girls will be able to design bespoke lettered necklaces, which sit on a thick belcher chain (easily adjustable, so they will fit dachshunds and dobermans alike). Each piece will be made to order, and come with its own doggy bandana for puppers who just can’t help being a little bit extra. It’s the latest playful move by First, who has become renowned for her spirited jewellery designs – including a colourful collaboration with Scandinavian influencer, Marianne Theodorsen, and her bestselling ‘Ciao’ necklace which is so sought after, it has even caused admirers to chase her down the street, in order to get their own pieces.
“Dog by RF felt like an obvious move,” says First of the canine-centred collection. “My bulldog Boicey has donned an impressive ‘neck stack’ pretty much since I adopted him, and he seems into it. It made sense for me to offer any other four-legged friends the option of wearing a bespoke necklace, should they (or their owners) desire. Our dogs are our best friends and they deserve the best – including a personalised necklace.”
Launching on Roxanne First’s website from the 25th August, the necklaces will start from £50. Boicey was unfortunately unavailable for comment at the time of publishing, but we think he will be pleased that his innate street style has inspired a whole range of accessories devoted to stylish doggos.
