The Film Independent Spirit Awards returned to California yesterday, honouring the top indie films and television series of 2022. The show, which always precedes the Oscars, is a rather casual affair, taking place inside a tent on the beach in Santa Monica. But that didn’t stop the best-dressed stars from dazzling in their finest Cartier jewels. Scroll on to discover the A-listers dressed by the French jeweller.
Paul Mescal
First-time nominee and Cartier ambassador Paul Mescal, who was up for best actor for his role in the new stage adaptation of A Streetcar Named Desire, elevated his broad suiting in a suite of Cartier gems – including a Trinity de Cartier ring, yellow gold Juste un Clou earring and a matching yellow gold chain necklace.
The real eye-catcher, however, was the Tank Louis Cartier watch strapped to his wrist, framed in a yellow gold case on a simple leather strap.

Succession star Nicholas Braun gave a lesson in two-tone styling, mixing his Cartier chain necklace in yellow gold with the rosy hue of a Clash de Cartier Supple bracelet.
