Following the recent revival of 90s fashion staples (cue bomber jackets, choker necklaces and flannel shirts galore), the ultimate 90s streetwear label, Stüssy, has finally launched its own jewellery collection.

It wouldn’t be Stüssy with out a magic 8 ball or two. In this case it takes the form of a simple stud earring

Described by the laid-back Cali fashion line as ‘a contemporary play on classic jewellery styles with a Stüssy twist’, the collection features unisex pieces crafted from .925 sterling silver. An initial drop includes a classic cultured pearl and onyx stud earring featuring the brand’s ever-present ‘magic 8 ball’, a symbol of iconic Americana that has been central to Stüssy since its foundation by Shawn Stüssy in the early 1980s, and has appeared in almost all of its clothing collections ever since.

Other pieces in the drop (which sold out within hours of launch, leaving fans eager for it to be restocked) include a chunky, belcher-link unisex bracelet in .925 sterling silver, complete with dangling cultured pearl charms, dice and peace signs. There are also long, .925 sterling silver chain necklaces feature signature ‘S’ logo pendants, and bold pinky rings (this season’s hottest staples) which are engraved with the brand’s interlocking ‘S’ motifs, as well as its name on the side. The latter feature heavily in a new ad campaign for the collection lensed by videographer Julian Klincewicz, who also shot Beyoncé 2019 film, ‘Homecoming’, and her video for ‘Black is King’.

As you’d expect, the entire collection is infused with the vintage-inspired, underground vibe prevalent throughout the brand’s iconic tees, hoodies and sneakers. The only question is, when we will be able to get our hands on it?
