Updated red TAG Heuer Carrera

It’s the colour of courage and passion, danger and war, power and luxury. And now, the shade of the moment has entered the watch world courtesy of TAG Heuer’s new Carrera Red.

Debuting in 1963 with the reference 2447, the Carrera has become a signature of the Heuer brand and has influenced the design of a number of other models.

TAG Heuer Carrera Red Dial Limited Edition

Despite the Carrera’s resounding success, the Swiss watchmaker has not rested on its laurels and has worked to lead the model into daring new territory with limited-edition colours and bold case designs.

For 2022, TAG Heuer has introduced a dramatic iteration of the Carrera silhouette, complete with a brand-new crimson dial. Scaling the model up to 39mm, the Carrera Red retains signature elements of the style, including the lugs and pushers, while reimagining others with a modern twist.

The indexes and hours and minutes hands come faceted, rhodium-plated and coated with Super-LumiNova, while the updated dial features a sunray pattern with the Heuer insignia and Carrera name.

Powered by the Calibre Heuer 02 – an in-house chronograph movement – with a 80-hour power reserve, the chronograph is presented on a black alligator strap, complete with a steel folding clasp.

Limited to just 600 pieces, the Carrera Red is available now exclusively in TAG Heuer boutiques, online and at select wholesalers worldwide.
