Tessa Thompson sparkles in Pomellato at the Venice Film Festival
Actress Tessa Thompson stepped out onto the red carpet for the 79th annual Venice Film Festival in a punkish set of diamond jewels by Pomellato

Hollywood’s glitterati descended on Italy’s Palazzo del Cinema for the opening ceremony of the 79th annual Venice Film Festival on Wednesday night. Following in its midst was a cohort of chic celebrities who flocked to the red carpet to promote their latest projects.
American actress Tessa Thompson was one of the many celebrities to turn up for the premiere of White Noise in an archival couture look adorned with glittering silver beading from Armani Privé’s autumn/winter 2009 show. Thompson accessorised her textured dress with vinyl Giuseppe Zanotti pumps and an assortment of punkish jewels by Pomellato.
The star opted for the Italian jeweller’s Catene necklace, a choker-style chain in 18K rose gold and burnished silver, dusted all over with brilliant and rose-cut brown diamonds.
A set of three diamond rings also adorned Thompson’s fingers, including a matching Catene ring in a brown diamond twist and two variations of the Nudo Solitaire, a singular band frosted with hand-set pavé diamonds.
