The best pink watches to wear this summer

The one timepiece trend that isn't likely to go away soon? Pink watches. From rose-tinted straps and salmon-coloured dials to all over neon pieces, we check out the best pink watches worth investing in right now

Timepiece trends come and go, but one trend that shows absolutely no signs of slowing down right now is the trend for pink watches. We’re talking dials, straps and detailing in everything from shocking Schiaparelli to palest cotton candy, via shades of soft rose and salmon. Last year’s obsession with Barbie certainly brought the colour pink into sharp focus as a shade that could suit anyone – as demonstrated by Ryan Gosling, when he sported a neon bright Tag Heuer Carrera Date to the Canadian press call for the blockbuster movie.

The latest watch fairs were a veritable treasure trove of pink timepieces, with new models available from fashion labels like Chanel and Gucci, as well as Tudor, Jaeger-LeCoultre and Alpina.

Following the announcement that Tudor would become the official timekeeper for the Inter Miami CF football club, whose uniform is an eye-catching rosy pink, Swiss watchmaker Tudor has adorned its signature Black Bay Chrono with a fetching powder pink dial.

The 41mm limited-production piece, which is only available in steel, has become such hot property, it’s become almost impossible to track one down, but fans eager to get their hands on one should still enquire with the brand – you may just get lucky.

Gabrielle Chanel may have been partial to monochromatic black and white, but pops of pink punctuated her fashion collections throughout her career, and her eponymous brand is still carrying on the tradition with its latest watch collection.

Revealed at the latest Watches & Wonders fair, the capsule collection of pink timepieces included a handsome new iteration of the brand’s signature J12 ceramic watch, this time crafted from pink sapphire crystal and 18k ‘beige’ gold.

The watch features plenty of pink gemstones, too: 46 bagette-cut pink sapphires adorn the bezel, while two of its beige gold bracelet links are embellished with 34 more sapphires and a further 12 sapphire baguettes are set onto the dial as hour markers.
