The jewellery of Wagatha Christie: what Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy wore

You've seen the Chanel bags and trouser suits, the style battle has been secondary at the WAG trial of the year. But who's the winner in the jewellery stakes? We take a closer look at the jewellery making an appearance at the "Wagatha Christie" trial making the headlines.

“Wagatha Christie”, as it has been dubbed, a social media feud-turned-court battle between Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy, is all over the headlines, following the start of a trial. Coleen Rooney has accused Rebekah Vardy of leaking false stories about her private life to the press and Rebekah Vardy is suing Coleen Rooney for defamation.

As Wags, a term coined to mean the “wives and girlfriends” of footballers, there has been plenty of attention centred on their clothes. But what about the jewellery?

Vardy has typically opted for bold accessories such as sunglasses to go with her tailored ensembles, save for some small sparkly stud earrings. She has also worn two necklaces layered together.

Meanwhile Rooney has sported hoops and according to the Liverpool Echo, a Say It With Diamonds necklace by the local Liverpool brand. It has store branches in The Metquarter and Liverpool ONE and was created by Aintree-based Charlotte Donoghue in June 2016 with just five necklaces. Since then, her business has apparently expanded into a multi-million pound company.
