Go bold or go home is the watchmaking mantra of 2022: with this year’s horological stars dipping into a kaleidoscope of colour like never before – and Ulysse Nardin’s latest creations are proof that the trend isn’t going away anytime soon.

In celebration of Geneva Watch Days, a “decentralised and self-managed multi-brand watch event” founded in 2020, the Swiss luxury watchmaker has unveiled new rainbow-tinged versions of its iconic Lady Diver and Blast Tourbillon timepieces.

Two new models of the Lady Diver Rainbow have been introduced in black and white. But, it’s the ornate embellishments that truly set this timepiece apart. Forty stones – from aquamarine, topaz and tsavorite to ruby and sapphire – adorn a brightly hued unidirectional bezel. Elsewhere, diamonds replace typical indices with eleven sparkles that reflect light in a spectrum of colours.

As for the Blast Rainbow, the new timepiece is embellished with fifty baguette gemstones (including rubies and sapphires) from the bezel to the indexes. Such is contrasted by a seriously powerful UN-172 calibre movement and a skeletonised X dial that makes for the most eye-catching wrist candy.
