Zara Tindall supports Prince William in £4k diamond earrings and a Rolex

Zara Tindall showed her support for cousin Prince William at a glamorous garden party at Buckingham Palace wearing diamond earrings from her own equestrian-inspired jewellery collection and a Rolex watch

Zara Tindall looked radiant in glittering diamond earrings and a Rolex watch as she attended Prince William’s Buckingham Palace garden party on Tuesday.

Tindall, who attended the garden party hosted on behalf of King Charles with her husband Mike Tindall, wore the most talked-about outfit of the afternoon in a £1,500 Laura Green London Isobel dress – but it was her choice of jewellery that really garnered attention.

Tindall, a style icon in the jewellery world, opted for a set of stud earrings from her own Zara Tindall By Calleija jewellery collection.

For the occasion, Tindall chose the £4,170 Saddle Suite earrings in 18-karat yellow gold encrusted all over with round-brilliant white diamonds.

Designed in collaboration with designer John Calleija in 2015, Zara’s jewellery range includes rings, pendants, earrings and bangles inspired by horse motifs and saddle structures.

That wasn’t all. Tindall further accessorised with a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Lady-Datejust in stainless steel, complete with an elegant diamond-set mother-of-pearl dial.

She also wore her £140,000 solitaire diamond engagement ring, Tindall’s most special and unusual piece of jewellery. Presented to Tindall by former rugby star Mike in 2010, the stunning piece is a solitaire diamond ring with a four-claw split shoulder design with several pavé set diamonds, complete with a single solitaire diamond.

To match her ensemble, she added a stylish Rosa Boater hat in Barbie-pink and pink suede heels with heel stoppers at the bottom of her shoes to prevent her sinking into the ground, while a black umbrella shielded her from the rain.

The royal, Princess Anne’s daughter, joined her cousins Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, as well as William, Prince of Wales, who was making his first garden party appearance this summer – without Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales.

William’s presence, alongside the King’s nieces and nephew, will be seen as a sign of family unity following Charles’ and Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnoses.

The cousins showed further unity by matching their stylish ensembles, as Eugenie and Beatrice also opted for a colour scheme of pink and white to match Zara.

Guests began to file in from 3pm in order to enjoy the tea tents and palace grounds, despite grey skies and rain.

Around 8,000 people are invited to each party, nominated by sponsors including Lord-Lieutenants, government departments, charities, the military and Faith groups.

The royal party arrive at 4pm on the terrace to the rear of the palace via The Carnarvon Room.

They stood for the National Anthem before being escorted down to the lawn before circulating through distinct ‘lanes’ under the guidance of gentleman ushers in order to meet as many members of the public as possible.
