Breitling, long the official watch partner of Aston Martin, have launched a limited edition three-watch collaboration that celebrates the luxury car manufacturer’s most iconic vehicle – the DB5.
Synonymous with James Bond through its appearances in Goldfinger, Thunderball and Skyfall, the DB5 is arguably the most recognisable car in the world. In fact, Sean Connery actually wore a Breitling while driving the DB5 in Thunderball.
Now, with this special release, Breitling are celebrating this great piece of British manufacturing with some Swiss horological magic with the Top Time Chronograph B01 Tribute To Aston Martin DB5.

While all three watches are a sizeable 41mm, they are all constructed differently. The first piece of the mini-collection features a silver stainless steel dial with a wooden bezel and luxurious leather strap, taken clear inspiration from the interior of the DB5. This version is the one closest to the original Top Time and does resemble the piece Connery wore in Thunderball. Only 1,022 pieces are being made and they will retail for £8,650.
The second watch is similar design wise to the first but comes in steel and platinum and has a deep black dial with the bezel made out of platinum for that extra bit of luxury. Made in more limited numbers, only 315 pieces are being manufactured, with a retail price of £14,400.
The third watch is also the most luxurious, being made out of gold and limited to just 250 pieces. The case on this Top Time is made out of 18 karat rose gold while the black dial is forged out of onyx, which is meant to replicate the look of the DB5’s dashboard. and is the first time the company have used the material for a dial. It’s also water resistant up to 100m if you find yourself in some James Bond-like situation and have to deep sea dive to safety. With the more extravagant materials, this version costs £35,100 and all three are available now.

Marek Reichman, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer at Aston Martin said in a statement: “These editions represent something truly distinct from anything we’ve created before. The collaboration with Breitling brought together two brands with a shared appreciation for timeless design, craftsmanship, and innovation, allowing us to exchange ideas in a way that felt both natural and ambitious. Inspired by the enduring elegance of the Aston Martin DB5 and our shared heritage of iconic design, the watch captures a balance of beauty, precision, and performance. Every detail has been carefully considered to reflect the character and authenticity synonymous with both brands. The result is a watch that feels contemporary today, yet timeless for generations to come.”
“This chronograph blends form with true function,” adds Breitling’s Head of Product Design Pablo Widmer. “As with the Aston Martin DB5, its beauty lies in its lines, materials, and finishings.”
