The collection serves as a tribute to nature itself with references to leaves, petals and even spices throughout the designs.
A Journey Through Nature comes in three chapters. The first, titled Botanic Freshness, is all about water and fresh greens. The Tea Field is made up of five pieces with the standout being a necklace made of white gold contrasting with deep green emeralds, one of which is a staggering 23.81 karats. The necklace also took a mammoth 1400 hours of work to make, with much of the time devoted to the individually cut diamonds.

Also within the first chapter is the three Verbena Bouquet pieces, all of which make use of one of Chaumet’s signature materials – mesh. Featuring Madagascar and Ceylon sapphires, the pieces shimmer yellow and green depending on the light and the mesh has been forged in yellow gold for the first time.
Rounding out the first chapter is Mint Leaf, which despite the name, is all about dreamy blues. Across five more pieces including a 17.46 karat pearl necklace, the five pieces have a summery pasture and a simplicity that puts the emphasis on the gemstones.
Chapter two, named Spicy Sweetness, takes the jewellery eastward with deeply evocative creations inspired by the flavours we pick from the ground. The first pieces come under the umbrella of Vanilla Flower, taking inspiration from one of the most treasured plants in the world. The design transforms the flower’s iconic pods into jewellery on the opulent necklace which features a 10.71-carat D FL type II-A diamond.

Cinnamon Bark, as you would expect, features golden hues across its five pieces while Star Anise brings a great deal of influence from Asia, making use of marquise-cut diamonds and candy-pink Madagascar sapphires.
Moving on to chapter three, called Aromatic Warmth, takes inspiration from heat. Coffee Aroma is an expressive pick me up with deep blue sapphires including a 12.09-carat oval set in a necklace. Meticulously pavé-set and engraved tassels represent the coffee beans on the five pieces.
Peppercorns, glittering with white gold and diamonds, sees Chaumet reach back into their past and reinterpret several designs from their history, mainly the Josephine collection. While Saffron Flower sees the French brand celebrate one of the most sought after spices in nature and here are the most colourfully vibrant pieces in the collection, directly turning the plant into jewellery with yellow diamonds.

Rounding out the large and varied collection is Bees, an ode to this important creature of the ecosystem and also a motif that has been at the heart of Chaumet for 250 years. A total of 25 broaches have been made which explore the role of the bee in society, from the honeycomb to the nectar.
