Erling Haaland was one of the big winners at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. While Norway fell at the quarter finals following a Jude Bellingham goal in extra-time, few stars saw their profile rise quite like Haaland’s across the five week tournament.
The football world needs no introduction to Haaland the player. He’s one of the best strikers on Earth and has been so for around five years, scoring around a goal a game for club and country, breaking countless records in the process.
But Haaland seemed to especially adored at the World Cup (explicitly by Americans) for his personality. The man looks like a Norse God and dresses like he’s just stepped off the runway of a Dolce & Gabbana show. He gets enthusiastically involved with the Viking Row along with the rest of his teammates, with the chant becoming something of a viral moment every time it was done either on the pitch or in the stands by the fans.
Haaland has also shown a penchant for Hermès bags, a deftness on social media in the age of corporate hegemony and well, he was the only man at the World Cup to be seen carrying a stuffed raccoon holding a whisky bottle. The Manchester City poacher is also the owner of a wild and wonderful watch collection. Currently an ambassador for Breitling, Haaland has long been an enthusiastic watch aficionado, particularly when it comes to Rolex, and here, we have rounded up five of the best watches he has been seen wearing recently.
Richard Mille RM 55-01
He may be the current face of Breitling but when on his downtime, Haaland still finds time for other brands. Holidaying in Sicily following the climax of the World Cup, the Norwegian striker was seen sporting the RM 55-01 in white. Only released in April of this year, the piece has a retail value of £160,000 but due to their scarcity, the second hand market is already out of control with the 55-01 already going for around seven times that. And this is one of the simplest watches in the Richard Mille canon.
Breitling Chronomat B01 Erling Haaland
It’s only appropriate that Haaland wears a watch that is both named after and co-designed by him. Only 250 have been manufactured and they’re made, rather improbably, from four-and-a-half-billion-year-old iron meteorite. The use of the material means that each watch will have its own unique dial pattern. The caseback also features Haaland’s name and number while any lucky purchaser also receives a signed thank you note from the footballing Norse God. You just need £40,000 to make that happen.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Black Panther
Before Audemars Piguet partnered with Swatch for the RoyalPop, they unexpectedly collaborated with Marvel for this Wakandan twist on their most iconic model. In the centre of the dial is a 3-D Black Panther figure, which is one of the most extraordinary things you will ever see on a watch. Throw in a flying tourbillon and you have a masterpiece. It is the rare piece that blends the pinnacle of watchmaking with pop culture and as you can imagine, highly desirable among collectors.
Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Rainbow
Haaland has a staggering collection of Rolex pieces but it’s hard to top the Daytona Rainbow, which also made a couple of appearances at the FIFA World Cup Final. A total revamp of the Daytona, the Rainbow glistens with sapphires that encompass the bezel while the hourmarkers also match the colour on the outside. A remarkable and popular piece, expect to cough up half a million unless you can withstand a several years long wait.
Patek Philippe Nautilus Moonphase
The Nautilus is an especially popular watch among footballers but this Moonphase, reference 5712R, is an especially treasured and sought-after piece. With an alligator-leather strap, an 18 karat rose gold dial and luminescent hourmarkers, the Nautilus Moonphase is flash without being flashy and one of the best models the brand have put out. Patek later discontinued it in 2023, making it that much more desirable.
