It’s only the first week of 2025 and already the internet is ablaze with news of a fabulous celebrity engagement: Zendaya reportedly said ‘yes’ over the holidays to her boyfriend, fellow actor Tom Holland. The pair have been one of Hollywood’s most high-profile (and also low key) couples since they met on the set of the 2017 blockbuster, ‘Spiderman: Homecoming’.

In keeping with the couple’s ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy when it comes to their relationship, Zendaya appeared to give photographers a good view of her new engagement ring on the red carpet at the 2025 Golden Globes, but has yet to make an official comment on it.
The sparkler appears to be a five or six carat east-west cushion cut diamond button back solitaire engagement ring with a yellow gold band by none other than the London-based jeweller, Jessica McCormack, whose signature style is the button-backed ring. It’s thought the jewel is worth in excess of $200,000. An east-west setting is unusual and highlights the sparkle and beauty of the central diamond, as well as making it look larger on the finger.

The couple have been hesitant to speak of their relationship publicly in the past. “One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn’t really in our control anymore, and a moment you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world,” Holland once said in 2021, after a photo of the couple attending a friend’s wedding was shared without their permission. The pair went public that same year.
Recently, though, the actor appeared on the cover of Men’s Health and described wanting to take a step back from acting once he becomes a father. “When I have kids, you will not see me in movies anymore,” he said. “I will just disappear off the face of the earth.” In December, he also described to a podcast that working with Zendaya and being together on set “is a saving grace. Best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
