Prepare to be dazzled: a brand-new exhibition of métiers d’art watches from Patek Philippe is now open at the Swiss maker’s salons in Geneva.
Running until April 27th, the ‘Rare Handcrafts’ exhibition is the largest collection of haute horlogerie ever presented by the brand with 82 timepieces soon to be on show.

In a historic building at rue du Rhône, the exhibition brings together a collection of one-of-a-kind and limited-edition pieces including 27 dome clocks and small dome clocks, three table clocks, nine pocket watches and 43 wristwatches showcasing the brand’s vast horological know-how of traditional crafts like miniature painting, enamelling, hand-engraving, guilloché and micro wood marquetry.

In a room overlooking Lake Geneva, guests can discover pieces that pay homage to the flora and fauna of the surrounding area, like the “Portrait of a White Egret” pocket watch, which depicts the graceful heron in wood marquetry.

Next, a salon facing the rue du Rhône showcases a suite of time-keeping creations dedicated to surfing, including a new Calatrava wristwatch, “Morning on the Beach”, adorned with a portrait of a surfer in wood marquetry.

Visitors will also be greeted by an outstanding ensemble of twelve Calatrava wristwatches with dials in grisaille enamel au blanc de Limoges, cloisonné enamel and paillonné enamel displaying the zodiac constellations.
Those in London will then get to experience the ‘Rare Handcrafts’ exhibition from June 7th to 16th as it relocates to the newly renovated Patek Philippe Salons on Bond Street.
For watch enthusiasts and those with a penchant for undervalued arts – this is not to be missed.
