Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, accompanied her husband William and their children, as well as the Kind and Queen Camilla, to watch the 80th anniversary of VE Day parade in central London today (5th May) wearing a suite of sparkling ruby jewels.
The Princess opted to re-wear a slim fitting purple coat dress and hat by British designer Emilia Wickstead, which she previously wore in 2022 to greet South African Cyril Ramaphosa.

Kate chose to embellish her look with a diamond and ruby pendant necklace and matching pair of diamond and oval-cut ruby drop earrings. On her left lapel, Kate also sported a Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm brooch in gold, as she was appointed Commodore-in-Chief of the Fleet Air Arm by King Charles III in 2023 – one of a number of honorary military appointments. She viewed the parade with guests and veterans on a dais near Buckingham Palace.

The Princess sat near Queen Camilla, who also sported a brooch of Royal Lancers, as her late father served with the 12th Lancers during World War II. The Queen was appointed their Colonel-in-Chief By King Charles in 2023.

Post parade, the Princess joined the Royal family on the balcony at Buckingham Palace to watch an aerial fly past of the Red Arrows. Whilst waving to the crowd, she also gave eagle-eyed jewellery fans a glimpse of the three-stranded pearl bracelet that used to belong to the late Princess Diana.
