At the biggest fashion event of the year, it’s only right that everybody’s watch game is on fire.
Following a dress code of ‘Fashion is Art’, stylists and designers had their work cut out to make their clients the talk of the night.
But it’s not just the clothes where they have to make a statement, just as much attention is put on the watches strapped to every celebrity’s wrist. And while this year there weren’t as many lavish timekeepers to be spotted as there were at the 2024 Met Gala, there were still plenty of impressive pieces for eagle-eyed horophiles to enjoy.
Below, check out all the standout watches from the night.
Dwayne Johnson – Jacob & Co. Billionaire III
Undoubtedly the biggest watch moment of the night, Dwayne Johnson debuted the enormous, limited-edition Jacob & Co. Billionaire III, which turned heads as much as his exquisite Thom Browne skirt.
Crafted in white gold, the 54mm watch features over 700 diamonds (weighing roughly 130 in total), a manual skeleton tourbillon and a 72-hour power reserve. Fancy your own? Only 18 of these iced-out watches, worth $3,000,000 each, will be available worldwide.
Rami Malek – Cartier Crash
A 1992 edition made at Cartier’s infamous London studio (learn more about it here), the Cartier Crash is one of the few pieces that could be described as classical yet deconstructive. Its asymmetrical dial is the standout here and perfectly fits the Oscar winner’s idiosyncratic style.
Serena Williams – Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding Perpetual Calendar
Dressed in a Marc Jacobs outfit that could be interpreted as her own take on Wonder Woman, Williams was similarly impressive on the wrist, sporting Audemars Piguet’s new 41mm Royal Oak Selfwinding Perpetual Calendar Openwork in hardwearing titanium.
The tennis legend has been an ambassador for the Swiss watchmaker for over a decade – check out more of her impressive AP collection here.
Irina Shayk – Cartier Santos
Perhaps taking a leaf out of Julia Fox’s fashion week playbook, Supermodel Irina Shayk wore a top entirely made up of watches and jewels, and her upper arms were also covered in timepieces. The most notable piece she wore was the Cartier Santos which was appropriately in the centre of her top.
Luke Evans – Hublot Big Bang Unico
While his outfit on the whole could be described as divisive, Evans’ watch received unanimous praise from onlookers. The Hublot Big Bang Unico is an undeniable showstopper, it’s just a shame the attention was on the leather hat.
Russell Westbrook – Rolex Daytona “Rainbow”
It wouldn’t be a watch roundup without Rolex and their standout from the Met Gala was the Daytona “Rainbow” worn by NBA legend, Russell Westbrook, who is known to be a longtime fan of the industry leader.
Lisa Manobal – Bulgari Serpenti Spiga High Jewellery Double Spiral
A Bulgari ambassador for almost six years, it made sense for Blackpink’s Lisa Manobal to arrive adorned in a swathe of the Roman maison’s fabulous jewels – including its Serpenti Spiga High Jewellery double-spiral watch in 18K white gold with diamond-set case, dial and bracelet.
Skepta – Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo Extra-Thin
Always content to go that little bit ‘extra’, Skepta adorned his custom Thom Browne outfit with an eye-catching Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo Extra Thin in yellow gold and diamonds.
Colman Domingo – Omega Constellation “Manhattan”
Picking out a vintage piece from the early 1980’s, the Michael actor continues to hit home runs with his watches – he became an official ‘friend’ of the storied Swiss watchmaker late last year and has completely upped his watch game ever since (but don’t just take our word for it: check out the-then unreleased Omega watch Domingo debuted on last year’s Met Gala red carpet)
Angela Bassett
Referencing Black artist Laura Wheeler with her bright pink ensemble, Bassett chose to embellish it with an original vintage cocktail watch from the 1970s by Glashütte.
Stanley Tucci – Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42
As can be expected from the much loved character actor, Tucci – who is as renowned for his fashion sense and culinary adventures as he is his acting at this point – was head to toe cool at the Met Gala. As well as his luscious Etro velvet suit, the Breitling on his wrist dazzled.
JAY-Z – Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime Ref 6300
Arriving with his wife, Beyoncé, Jay may have kept his outfit wedding chic but went big on the watch front. A known aficionado, this particular Patek will set you back more than £2 million.
Donal Finn – Omega Constellation Observatory
The Young Sherlock star is having one of 2026’s biggest breakouts and after the super charismatic actor put a new twist on Moriarty, he was all old school class at the Met Gala, complete with this breathtaking Omega Constellation Observatory.
Elsewhere at the Met Gala, Hugh Jackman wore a Briony Raymond brooch, while Venus Williams stunned in an incredible Swarovski necklace. Connor Storrie hit the carpet in Tiffany & Co while Kendall Jenner wore Beccellati in what turned out to be a typically eclectic Met Gala. Check out here for all the looks of the evening.
Beyoncé also returned to the Met Gala for the first time in ten years – and her look did not disappoint. You can read more about that here.
