Since officially becoming a member of the Royal Family in 2005 following her low key wedding to the future King Charles III, Queen Camilla has known how to wear a tiara.
While her tiara game has gotten more extravagant and varied following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, Camilla has always shown a preference for certain pieces that have reflected her sense of style and approach to the Royal Jewels, which is a fair bit sparklier than her daughter-in-law’s taste.
With Queen Camilla now intrinsically woven into the fabric of the Royal Family, here’s a look at some of her best tiara moments to date.
Greville Tiara

Undoubtedly Queen Camilla’s favourite tiara, the Boucheron piece made in 1921 has been a staple of the Royal Family’s jewellery collection ever since. Camila wore this while Queen Elizabeth II was still alive (the late Queen never wore it publicly as it was so closely associated with her mother) and it would frequently be found on her head at state banquets and diplomatic receptions, wearing it as early as 2006.
Burmese Ruby Tiara

Garrard were commissioned by Queen Elizabeth II in 1973 to create this decadent tiaras with a Tudor inspired design. Set with 96 Burmese rubies that were a wedding gift to the Queen in 1947. Elizabeth wore it infrequently but it did make a prominent appearance in 2019 during a banquet for the American government. Camilla has so far only worn the eye-catching piece the twice, for a state event with South Korea where she matched it with an appropriately red dress and a ruby necklace, and then for a similar event for the visit of Japan’s Emperor.
Belgian Sapphire Tiara

A tiara with a curious history. Originally a necklace owned by King Leopold II of Belgium’s daughter, Louise. She subsequently ran into financial hardship causing her to put her jewels including this sapphire necklace up for auction in 1963, where Queen Elizabeth II, using her personal funds, was the surprise winning bidder. She then had the necklace transformed into a tiara and it was a favourite of hers throughout her time on the throne. Camilla subsequently made her debut in the tiara last year to welcome the French government before bringing it back out again to welcome Donald Trump to the UK.
Greville Emerald Kokoshnick Tiara
Best known as the tiara worn by Princess Eugenie on her wedding day when it was loaned to her by Queen Elizabeth II as that marked the first time it had ever been seen publicly. With a central emerald estimated at up to a whopping 93 carats, it is estimated to be valued at around £13 million. Following Eugenie’s wedding, the tiara again disappeared from public view for nearly a decade until Camilla wore it for the annual diplomatic reception in 2025.
Queen Alexandra’s Kokoshnik Tiara

Another piece in the Russian style, this tiara originally belonged to Queen Alexandra before making its way to Queen Mary who bequeathed it to her granddaughter Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. It was a signature tiara of Elizabeth II’s reign. She wore it during a 1960 portrait that was used on banknotes, while dancing with President Henry Ford at The White House and also for a 2001 portrait that now sits in the National Portrait Gallery. So far, Camilla has only worn the tiara while hosting the Qatari government but it’s one of the most remarkable pieces in the Royal Collection.
