Rihanna made a surprise appearance at Jay-Z’s Yankee Stadium concert wearing dazzling diamond jewels by Jacob & Co., Ara Vartanian, Jade Ruzzo, Kwiat Diamonds and Uniform Object. Check out all the details below.

After a three-night stand to mark the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, Jay-Z brought a glittering parade of A-list stars on stage for his finale at New York’s Yankee Stadium.
Having already brought out his superstar wife Beyoncé, Alicia Keys and Nas to perform with him at his first concert, and Eminem for his second, expectations ran high amongst fan as to whom Jay-Z might bring out for his last show, dubbed the ‘Extra Innings.’
They certainly weren’t disappointed. Rihanna made a stellar appearance alongside the veteran rapper, joining him to perform ‘Run This Town’, then performed her hit ‘Bitch Better Have My Money’. The Barbadian singer was famously ‘discovered’ by music producer Evan Rogers in 2003, who was vacationing in her home country – a year later, she was signed by Jay-Z, then president and CEO of Def Jam records.
RiRi hit the stage in a custom leather look by YSL’s Anthony Vaccarello, and embellished her look, as ever, with a sparkling trove of diamond jewels, including Brazilian designer Ara Vartanian’s yellow gold ‘Waves’ ring set with desert diamonds, a diamond ring and pair of diamond stud earrings by Jacob & Co., the diamond-set yellow gold ring ‘Form’ ring by Jade Ruzzo, and a separate double pear-shaped yellow diamond earring in her right ear by Kwiat Diamonds.
The ‘Run This Town’ singer is renowned for her love of jewellery and watches – especially for her red carpet and on-stage appearances – and has previously co-designed a high jewellery suite with Chopard, which was auctioned earlier this year. She’s even admitted she’s given birth wearing pearls and medallion necklaces.
Beyoncé, who made another appearance alongside her husband at the Extra Innings gig to perform ‘Drunk In Love’, was equally dripping in diamonds, choosing Jacob & Co.‘s sapphire diamond bangle, Rare Touch long mesh drop earrings, a sapphire diamond ring and cushion-cut diamond ring to adorn her blue and white Yankees-themed outfit. Earlier in the week, she had opted to wear layers of diamond chains and a pair of 18K white gold and diamond High Jewellery earrings by Messika.
Queen Bey is no stranger to precious on-stage adornments either, having previously shimmered in everything from bejewelled sunglasses from Tiffany & Co, to Lorraine Schwartz diamond bolo ties and Bibi Van Der Velden’s diamond-studded alligator earrings for her sell-out solo tours.
With further stadium concerts apparently scheduled for Jay-Z in London and Paris in the autumn, we can perhaps expect to see even more fabulous on-stage jewels very soon.
