Coinciding with the 100th anniversary of their iconic Oyster – one of the greatest leaps forward in the history of watchmaking – the timepiece icon are using their space at the convention to simultaneously celebrate their past while also push forward.
Below are all of the new watches Rolex have announced at this year’s Watches and Wonders.
The Oyster Perpetual 41

Rolex’s 100th anniversary celebration of arguably its most iconic creation, the new Oyster Perpetual 41 comes in a distinctive yellow with subtle hints to the watch’s great history. Instead of “Swiss Made”, the Oyster Perpetual is inscribed with “100 years” while the winding crown also features the number 100. Appropriately, this new edition is also waterproof up to 100 metres.
The Oyster Perpetual 36

A burst of colours decorate the dial which is also ornamented with the Jubilee motif which was originally introduced by Rolex in the 1970’s. Additionally, the rainbow of colour spells out Rolex. The new version of the watch is also crafted with Oystersteel, a specialist alloy only produced for Rolex.
The Oyster Perpetual 28 & 34

The Oyster Perpetual 28 and 34 feature a first for Rolex in that three of the hour markers – three, six and 8 o’clock – are made out of natural stone. The 28 is also crafted out of 18K yellow gold while the 34 is forged from Everose gold, elevating the refinement of the Oyster with modern splendour.
The Datejust 41

With the Datejust 41, Rolex have brought back lacquering, the first time they have done so on an ombré dial since 2019. The fluted bezel has also been crafted from precious metal while the white Roselor and the green dial combine for an eye catching partnership.
The Yacht-Master II

The new generation of Yacht-Master – a favourite at regattas and boating events – this edition comes in both Oystersteel or 18K yellow gold. Rolex have also completely revamped the design and movement of the watch to allow for easier function. Wearers will now operate the function exclusively through the side pushers while the countdown scale is placed on a flange.
The Day-Date 40

Rolex are using the new Day-Date 40 to premiere its new alloy, which it terms Jubilee Gold and is made from 18K gold and produced entirely in house by the company. The elegant piece also features a dial cut from aventurine, a natural stone in the quartz family while the hour circle is cut from diamonds. The release also coincides with the 70th anniversary of the Day-Date.
The Cosmograph Daytona

Another first at this year’s unveiling, this Cosmograph Daytona is made from Rolesium – Rolex’s configuration of platinum and Oystersteel. The colour of the bezel is also anthracite, which has never been seen in this model before. Originally launched for professional racing drivers in the 1960’s, the Cosmograph Daytona is emblematic of of the synergy between luxury and sport.
