It’s the most eagerly awaited casting question in Hollywood for years: who will be the next James Bond? Since Daniel Craig retired from the role after 2021’s No Time to Die, James Bond remains without an actor. It’s been five years of rumours and speculation without a successor to Craig being announced by the series’ new masters, Amazon.
The next James Bond does have a director in Denis Villeneuve and a writer in Steven Knight but that tuxedo remains unworn and that martini unshaken. Below, we have looked at five of the main contenders for the role and their favourite watches with timepieces key to Bond lore.

Callum Turner – Cartier Tank
Mr. Dua Lipa may be one of the most photographed men on the planet at the moment, if not the most prolific or celebrated actor. As such, we know quite a bit about his taste in watches and Turner loves Cartier. On the two press tours he’s done this year, Turner has been spotted wearing a Cartier Tank with the watch very much in vogue among Hollywood at the moment. The bookies favourite to be the next 007, Turner at least has the watch game for the part.
Jack Lowden – Omega De Ville Tresor 40
While he is already best known for playing a spy in Slow Horses, Lowden is still a hot favourite to take over from Daniel Craig to become the next 007. While he wears a TAG Heuer on Slow Horses, when on the red carpet, Lowden likes an Omega, standing him in good stead to gain a License to Kill. He especially likes the De Ville Trésor in 18K Sedna Gold which is more akin to a dress watch than most Omega models.
Harris Dickinson – Rolex Day-Date
Harris Dickinson isn’t a name you’d necessarily associate with ultra rare Rolex’s but the Iron Claw actor made a big splash at the GQ Men of the Year event in 2024, stealing the show with a vintage Day-Date with a famed Stella Oxblood stone dial. Likely dating from the 1980’s, it’s one of the brand’s most iconic pieces.
Theo James – Omega Speedmaster Professional Hesalite
Theo James is no stranger to wearing a large array of glorious watches in his role of Eddie Horniman in Netflix’s The Gentlemen but off-screen the actor is a firm fan of Omega. He’s wore a number of pieces from the brand, who are also the official watch of James Bond and have been for decades with James seen wearing both the Moonshine Gold Seamaster and the more subtle Speedmaster Hesalite with both 007 worthy watches.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson – Omega Speedmaster Planet Ocean
An Omega ambassador, Aaron Taylor-Johnson already knows how to look cool with a piece of fine Swiss horology on the wrist. And yes, the Speedmaster Planet Ocean is the watch worn by Daniel Craig in Casino Royale but the Nowhere Boy star goes for the newer relaunched version of the famed dive watch that was released earlier this year. Taylor-Johnson has also said he customises the straps on his Seamaster depending on what he’s doing as the outdoor pursuits fanatic prefers a rubber strap when swimming.
