The Gentlemen is back and with that a fresh warehouse full of the best watches and jewellery the aristocracy can buy. When season one debuted in 2024, it drew widespread conversation for its endless array of fine timepieces that spanned Panerai to F.P. Journe with the watches on screen totalling more than £6 million.
Such is the way to do things, season two is bigger and bolder and features a whole lot more horology. Eddie Horniman, cool and calm at the top of his criminal empire, has branched out in the watch world. He spent much of season one with his Patek Philippe Nautilus while also dabbling with Panerai and Jaeger-LeCoultre and while those brands remain (with the absence of Patek), his palette has developed. The character is much more committed to the old world class of the JLC, wearing three models across season two while he also dons a new Rolex and a TAG Heuer, while also experimenting with Chopard and Movado.
And it’s not just the Duke of Halstead who’s rocking the watches; his business partner/almost love interest, Susie Glass continues to have an immaculate watch game while her father Bobby, played by Ray Winstone, wears a Panerai despite being behind bars.
It’s also a show that puts a lot of thought into its watches. Per our conversation with The Gentlemen‘s costume designer, Loulou Bontemps, earlier this year, you can find out an awful lot about a character by looking at their wrist – especially in this world of aristocrats, millionaire gangsters and social climbers.
With season two out now on Netflix, we’ve rounded up some of the standout watches we’ve seen in The Gentlemen so far.
Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 126500LN

The Duke wears a lot of watches throughout season two of The Gentlemen but it’s hard to top this Rolex that’s straight off the production line. Featuring an immaculate white dial, it has been affectionately termed the Panda by some collectors and at 40mm, it’s not too big but also refuses to be subtle about the fact it’s a Rolex. Are you really an aristocratic gangster if you don’t have a Rolex?
Omega Speedmaster 300M

Just like Theo James in real life, Eddie Horniman also has a taste for Omega. He wears a couple of Omega’s during the eight episodes but it’s hard to top a gold Speedmaster, worn during one of his Italian excursions as his criminal enterprise continues its international expansion, a plotline that goes down the road of love and tragedy in the vein of The Godfather.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Chronograph

For Eddie’s big day and ultimately the turning point of season two, the former soldier turned increasingly amoral criminal brings out probably his best piece – Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Reverso Tribute Chronograph. The distinctive rectangular face almost makes it look like a Cartier from a distance but this piece harks back to a JLC from 1931 giving it almost a century’s worth of prestige and glamour, much like the aristocrats in the show.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Lady

It’s not just the guys that get to run around having all the fun with watches. As well as an extraordinary jewellery ensemble, Kaya Scodelario’s Susie Glass enjoys herself with a couple of JLC Reverso’s, a clear nod to the increasingly complex relationship she has with Eddie with the pair of them seen wearing the same or similar watches. An example of how watches can say a lot about a character.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar

Almost a bit flash and modern for a Duke of England, nonetheless, Theo James rocks his large AP with trademark style with the watch showing off his eclectic taste. The more modern looking pieces like the Royal Oak embody a character that is increasingly going his own way and out of the shadows of his looming family. The watch can also symbolise the rapidly booming confidence of the Duke in the criminal underworld he’s found himself.
