The La D de Dior collection made its debut in 2003, inspired by a woman who always borrows her man’s watch. The thinking being that she must always be thinking about him. Whether she is/was or not, the watch itself provides plenty to think about: it’s an elegant design influenced by the 1970s and captures the bold spirit of the maison’s jewellery making. Creative combinations of materials and colours, here paired with the savoir-faire of Swiss watchmaking.

Versions to date include a miniature flower painting on the dial to pay tribute to Monsieur Dior’s favourite flower, and a Milanese mesh bracelet to convey the delicate nature of watchmaking.
The collection reconciles the house’s Fine Jewellery making with the mechanics and engineering of time. Sparkling snow settings feature, as do ornamental stone dials, alongside the mechanical Elite movement. The La D de Dior collection is also an homage to Monsieur Dior’s passion for colour, something which current creative director of Christian Dior fine jewellery division Victoire de Castellane is adept at doing.
