Tiffany and Co. today (April 24) unveiled their Blue Book 2005 with Sea of Wonder – a dreamlike new high jewellery collection that “celebrates the allure, motion and mystery of the oceans.”
The collection, which has been designed by Nathalie Verdeille – Tiffany and Co.’s Chief Artistic Officer of Jewellery and High Jewellery – is said to embark on “a surreal journey from the figurative to the abstract” and has been inspired by famed Tiffany designer Jean Schlumberger and his legendary aquatic designs.
In a statement, Verdeille said: “Each piece in our latest Blue Book collection, Sea of Wonder, captivates and invites us to lose ourselves in the rich storytelling as we embark on a journey through uncharted realms of the deep sea.
“While each creation weaves a story of the ocean and its wonders, these extraordinary pieces also tell a broader narrative of the House’s love of pushing boundaries, our relentless pursuit of that which has never been done before, and the spirit of extraordinary savoir faire that has defined Tiffany & Co. since 1837,” Verdeille continued.
“Drawing inspiration from Jean Schlumberger’s fascination with the sea, our House’s pioneering spirit endures, driving us to reinvent archival inspirations from a modern perspective.”

A press statement adds that Blue Book 2025: Sea of Wonder “dives into the depths, where the inexhaustible variety of flora and fauna transforms into an ethereal world of wonder. With an evocative colour palette that mirrors the iridescent shimmer of underwater light and the bioluminescent dances of oceanic creatures, the collection reimagines the beauty of the deep through Verdeille’s creative lens.”
The collection opens with pieces inspired by oceanic plans that “call to mind an underwater garden.” One of the standout pieces from this ‘Ocean Flora’ chapter includes an opulent necklace with Zambian emeralds.
Elsewhere, ‘The Seahorse’ chapter is inspired by Jean Schlumberger’s iconic 1968 brooches for Tiffany & Co. but these are now reinterpreted with what the luxury jewellery house describe as a “contemporary twist.”
They add: “Fluted moonstones and an intricate arrangement of coloured gemstones, including zircons and sapphires, create texture and contrast, bringing these mythical beings to life with both elegance and complexity.”

The Sea Turtle pedant is one of the most talked about pieces in the collection as it features a hidden mechanism that transforms the piece from a pendant to a brooch – something that is reflective of the creature’s journey from land to sea. You can see an image of this here:

There is also a ‘Starfish’ chapter that “deconstructs and reinterprets the graceful creature into high jewellery with celestial overtones.” Some of the jewels used in the creation of this chapter include rubies from Mozambique and diamonds accented by 18k yellow gold, rose-cut diamonds and pavé diamonds.
Another chapter inspired by Schlumberger is ‘The Urchin’, whose jewellery utilises Paillonné enamelling – a 19th-century technique that Jean Schlumberger was credited with revitalising. Tiffany says this “adds a delicate, thorny texture to the designs while capturing the iridescent essence of the sea.”

The last chapter, the ‘Wave’, is said to “celebrate the dramatic movement of the ocean through powerful, sculptural designs.” Here, the standout piece includes the Wave necklace, which you can see above. The piece is said to recreate a crashing wave and features diamonds accented by vivid blue cuprian elbaite tourmalines of over 17 total carats. This piece nods to Schlumberger’s famous Leaves Necklace.
In a statement about the collection, Tiffany & Co. added: “As Blue Book 2025: Sea of Wonder reimagines the hidden wonders of the ocean, it reminds us that the most beautiful things in the world often lie in the most unexplored and uncharted realms. This collection is a testament to Tiffany & Co.’s commitment to creativity, craftsmanship and a deep reverence for nature’s infinite mysteries.”
In other Tiffany & Co. news, last month, Dua Lipa dazzled in Tiffany & co. jewellery for her latest music video ‘Handlebars’ with Blackpink’s Jennie.
Showcasing the effortless glamour she’s known for, Dua layered multiple iconic Tiffany collections, proving that when it comes to diamonds, more is definitely more. Dua Lipa previously wore Tiffany & Co. diamonds at her appearance at the Met Gala in 2023.
