Fresh off making a stir at the MobLand season two premiere by wearing the 007 edition of the Seamaster, it’s time to reevaluate Tom Hardy’s watch game. Not really seen as a watch guy in the vein of his good friend Leonardo DiCaprio, Hardy prefers to keep things simple but classy when on the red carpet. That means he favours the typical brands such as Rolex and Omega over more in the know brands but the Oscar nominated actor is also prone to mixing things up too. What he wears on-screen is slightly more left of centre, depending, of course, on the character he’s playing.
With MobLand returning to Paramount+ this Friday, it’s the perfect time to delve into Hardy’s watch history and we have rounded up some of the standout pieces he has worn on and off screen throughout his 25-year career. Check them out below.
Reggie Kray’s gold Omega

Yes, actual Reggie Kray’s actual Omega. While playing the infamous gangster (and his twin brother Ronnie) in 2015’s Legend, Hardy was loaned Kray’s personal Omega for filming. Solid 18 karat gold with a diamond bezel and champagne dial, it’s a one-of-a-kind piece that encapsulates 1960’s style with it later being sold at auction alongside a number of other Kray related artefacts.
Bulgari Bulgari Chronograph

Unexpectedly bold for Hardy, who generally keeps things classical in the watch department. He made an exception at the 88th Academy Awards where he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Revenant. With a rose gold bezel and deep black dial, the watch is chunky and bold and certainly red carpet worthy.
Rolex Sky-Dweller

Undisputedly a modern classic, the Sky-Dweller is all class and Hardy’s, with a distinctive white dial features an inverted red triangle pointing to the chose reference time. The watch also combines a number of Rolex hallmarks including the fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet to make a piece that is pure sophistication. Hardy wore this to the premiere of Dunkirk back in 2017.
Bremont Supermarine

Hardy wore Bremont throughout his time as Eddie Brock aka Venom but it’s hard to top the model he wore for his brief cameo at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home. The Supermarine is a relatively affordable military-inspired watch intended to function as a diver’s tool with the piece being tested by special forces operators around the world. The strong military aesthetic is reflected in the robustness of the watch as well as its size.
Rolex Explorer II

It’s safe to say Hardy likes Rolex’s and in particular Rolex’s with white dials. As well as his aforementioned Sky-Dweller, Hardy has also been seen wearing the since discontinued Explorer II, made to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the model. Fitted with the classic Polar dial, the watch is also known for its bright orange hand hour hand and clear legibility, making it the perfect tool watch.
Omega Seamaster 300M “007 Edition”

Tom Hardy is never going to be James Bond. He would likely have been great in the role. But nearing 50, the Mad Max: Fury Road actor is only a decade younger than Daniel Craig. So Hardy has had to settle for wearing 007’s watch instead. This edition of the Seamaster was made for No Time to Die but has become a popular watch in its own right with Hardy wearing it to the premiere of MobLand last week.
