Royal Ascot 2026 is off to a flying start, so it’s no surprise that expert equestrian Zara Tindall, and her husband Mike, have been enjoying a flutter at the races, alongside the rest of the Royal Family.
The princess was seen smiling and greeting King Charles and Queen Camilla on day one of the event, dressed in a pink Rebecca Vallance midi dress and matching pink hat. She accessorised her look with striking, gemstone set earrings by new favourite royal jeweller, Kiki McDonough.

Part of the London jeweller’s colourful Fireworks collection, the eye-catching earrings are set with amethysts, peridots, blue topazes and a pair of white diamonds.
McDonough, whose gem-studded jewels are also a favourite of Catherine, Princess of Wales, recently received a royal warrant from Queen Camilla, calling it “the greatest honour of my career.”

Zara, the daughter of Princess Anne, is one of the most quietly influential royal jewellery wearers, with a preference for independent jewellers including McDonough and Laurence Coste, and affordable jeweller Hector Lion (whose pieces she recently wore for her brother Peter Phillips’ wedding to Harriet Sperling).
The princess also favours designs by Australian-born designer John Calleija, whom she met back in 2013, and the pair have partnered on several distinct jewellery lines together. She’s regularly seen in the maker’s Saddle Suite earrings in platinum and white diamonds at high profile events, such as royal garden parties.
Elsewhere, Catherine, Princess of Wales made a triumphant return to Royal Ascot, after an absence of two years following her cancer diagnosis. She paired her vibrant yellow Roksanda dress with heirloom jewels that honoured both the late Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana.
Her diamond chandelier earrings previously belonged to the late Queen, and were first worn by the young Royal back in 2011 during a trip to Los Angeles. Her three-stranded pearl and diamond bracelet used to be part of Princess Diana’s jeweller collection, designed for her by bespoke jeweller Nigel Milne back in 1988.
With several more days of Royal racing to come at the famous Berkshire course, the stakes are high for more fabulous royal jewellery looks.
