Andrew Garfield, embracing Jesus chic, hit the red carpet at the London Film Festival in support of his controversial new film, Artificial.
Directed by Luca Guadagnino and co-starring Garfield’s girlfriend Monica Barbaro as well as Mark Rylance, Cooper Hoffman and Oscar nominee Yura Borisov, the film is a biopic of OpenAI founder, Sam Altman, and was originally dropped by Amazon before picking up a new distributor.
For a screening of the film in London, Garfield got dressed up in custom Brioni and accompanied his suit with a fine Cartier Tank Américaine.
Released last year, this platinum model does not waver much from the initial design created by Louis Cartier more than 100 years ago but is a subtle if deliciously fresh update on the iconic model.
The case is made from platinum while a ruby is set in the crown and the burgundy alligator strap makes this the pinnacle of luxury and pretty much the perfect dress watch.
If you want to emulate Garfield’s look, you’re going to need to shell out more than £24,000 for the watch.
Garfield has long been an admirer of the slim rectangular face with the Oscar nominated former Spider-Man actor a frequent wearer of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Reverso.
In fact, at last year’s Oscars, Garfield wore two different Reverso models in one night, which has to be some kind of very cool record.
Garfield is in good company with his admiration of Cartier. In the last week, Catherine, Princess of Wales was spotted in Northern Ireland wearing the iconic brand’s Trinity earrings, which feature three interlocking hoops made out of 18 carat yellow, rose and white gold.
Since debuting the earrings in the middle of 2025, they have become a firm and favourite part of her wardrobe, being worn to events such as Wimbledon as well as the Royal Christmas Day at Sandringham.
Long speculated to have been a birthday gift from her husband, the future King’s mother, Princess Diana, was a firm fan of Cartier’s Trinity collection, which originally debuted more than a century ago.
Diana was particularly known to wear a Trinity ring on her little finger, which she owned before she was thrust into the spotlight through her relationship with the now King Charles III.
While it is not known what happened to Diana’s pinky ring, she is generally credited with helping popularise the trend in the 1980’s.
Taylor Swift has also long been a Cartier fan and appears to have gotten husband Travis Kelce on the same hype train as the two now have matching watches.
Swift has been seen wearing a Santos Demoiselle many times, causing enormous interest in the watch while Kelce was spotted wearing the $77,000 version that serves as a triute to aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont and is made from 18 karat yellow gold and features a skeletonised dial.
