Pomellato was established in Milan in 1967 by Pino Rabolini. Today, the current creative director is Vincenzo Castaldo. The maison is synonymous with colour and takes what is described as being a more ready-to-wear approach to its conception of jewellery: it feels contemporary and creative as opposed to what can be traditional and conservative.
Rabolini, who was heir to his family’s goldsmith legacy, was thought to revolutionise women’s jewellery with his fashion-forward designs. It is the unusual stone combinations that do it. The colour and the cuts. An unconventional but immediately recognisable aesthetic.

Among the collections the house is best-known for is Nudo, a striking stone cut almost into a round square that makes a solid statement on rings, notably, earrings and bracelets. It is the brand’s most iconic ring and comes in Maxi or Petit styles.
Nuvola, which is Italian for “cloud” reinterprets the brilliant cut for a new special-edition collection. And the Iconica collection is a tribute to Pomellato’s goldsmithing tradition.
