Drake, despite still being one of the biggest and most popular musicians on Earth, is fully in his ragebait era, doing livestreams with controversial influencers.
The latest such stream on the platform Kick has seen the Canadian rapper take part in a game of 20 v 1 where he sat with 20 different women and essentially interviewed them with the winner getting to choose a prize. Almost like a millenial Blind Date without Cilla Black.
The stunt, as intended, went viral with the “contestants” a parade of up and coming female rappers and OnlyFans stars with the winner being self-proclaimed “goth baddie” and online creator Pinkchyu, who managed to get Drake to actually bark like a dog with emphysema. In return, he bought her mum a house.
But away from all the shenanigans, the real talking point was what the 6 God had on his wrist. Never one for a subtle timepiece, Drake was wearing a Richard Mille RM 19-02 Tourbillon Fleur.
Only 30 were ever made, with the RM 19-02 made out of white gold and featuring a handpainted magnolia flower on the dial, the petals of which open to reveal the flying tourbillon.
Worth around $2 million if you can even find an owner willing to part with one, the watch is Richard Mille’s first animated complication with the pusher button activating the release of the flying tourbillon from within. The watch is also adorned with a staggering 406 baguette cut diamonds for a total of 13.76 carats.
One of Richard Mille’s masterpieces, Drake previously wore the watch when he attended a FIFA World Cup game earlier in the summer between Portugal and Croatia in Toronto.
The rapper has one of the most extravagant watch collections in the world today with him believed to own around 150 different Rolex’s. Drake also owns a completely one-off Patek Philippe Nautilus that was customised for him by the late Off-White founder, Virgil Abloh. Completely set in emeralds, Drake treasures the watch, rapping about it in “Life is Good”.
He also has an arsenal of other Richard Mille pieces including the divisive RM 69 which features three rolling bars that can be rotated to display seductive messages. Seen wearing this one at a basketball game and with the dials turned to the most explicit words possible, only 30 were made and are likely to now set you back north of seven figures given their scarcity.
Drake also owns a RM 056 Tourbillon Split seconds Chronograph Sapphire, which he bought himself as a 35th birthday present. And some present it was given the solid sapphire watch was made in quantities of less than ten and is now estimated to be worth more than $5 million, making it one of the most expensive Richard Mille watches in the world. Though that would be a lot more than the roughly $2 million Drake would have paid five years ago.
