Hong Kong fencer Cheung Ka Long has dominated headlines at the Paris 2024 Olympics after he snagged yet another gold medal after defeating Italy’s Filippo Macchi 15-14 in a tense final for the Men’s Individual Foil.
But his gold medal wasn’t the only bling that dazzled during his Olympic triumph on Tuesday, with eagle-eyed jewellery lovers also spotting the smattering of bling that covered his right arm and fingers.

The two-time Olympic champion, who has mentioned in previous interviews that he loves wearing jewellery, was photographed wearing two bracelets and two rings from three separate luxury brands during his dramatic victory.
On his right wrist, Cheung Ka Long wore Van Cleef & Arpels’ iconic Vintage Alhambra bracelet. The yellow gold piece, which retails for £4,650, features five four-leaf clover motifs in red carnelian – the four-leaf clover and the colour red being symbols of good luck and courage.

He stacked this with a yellow gold Love bangle from Cartier, a cult oval bracelet, formed of two rigid arcs that must be screwed together and removed with a gold screwdriver (to lock in your love, as it were) that has been worn by the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, Kylie Jenner, Katie Holmes, Angelina Jolie, Naomi Watts, and even Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
Cheung Ka Long’s hotly-discussed jewellery look continued with a matching yellow gold Cartier Love ring, which he previously wore when he triumphed during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

To complete his adornment, the Hong Kong fencer stacked a yellow gold tri-link ring on top of a white gold tri-link ring by Hoorsenbuhs.
Founded in 2005, the Santa Monica-based brand specialises in unisex jewellery accented with the house’s signature weighty, tri-link motif that has garnered fans like Jay-Z, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Lopez, and Barack and Michelle Obama.

Speaking to Something About Rocks about Hoorsenbuhs’ Santa Monica home, founders Rob Keith and Kether Parker, said: “Everything inside the atelier was designed by Rob Keith. All the wall treatments with branded hardware, the art, the bronze cast furniture, and tables were all made by hand. All the fixtures, displays and lighting are built around the jewellery.
One truly feels the intense amount of labour that goes into all the details of our jewellery collections when they walk into our space.”
